Adorable Harp Seal Hangs Out on Ice in Hudson River
While New Yorkers are complaining about the frigid weather, seals apparently are loving it. Eagle-eyed New Yorkers/New Jerseyans found a young harp seal hanging out on ice in the New Jersey side of the Hudson River on Monday. The seal was resting on the frozen portion of the river near the Old Binghamton Boat House in Edgewater, New Jersey.
A police boat was dispatched to the area to rescue the seal, but it seemed to be OK and apparently was trying to get away from the police. The reason that the seal was on ice because it was drying off. Eyewitness News tweeted out a video of the seal in action:
