A lawyer representing Nick Gordon, boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, has asked a judge to dismiss the wrongful death lawsuit filed against his client by Brown’s co-conservator.

In new court documents, Gordon’s attorney, Jose Baez, claims Bedelia Hargrove’s amended lawsuit contains “several unsupported conclusory, untrue, criminal accusations” that suggest the defendant “committed acts that he simply did not do”.

Filed after Brown’s death in July, Hargrove’s suit suggested Gordon gave his girlfriend a “toxic cocktail” which rendered her unconscious on the night of January 31, when the aspiring singer and actress was found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub at the home she shared with Gordon in Georgia.

She was placed in a medically induced coma a day after she was taken to a nearby hospital, and spent almost six months fighting for her life.

Gordon’s attorney has denied his client gave the deceased a “toxic cocktail”, but admits “the parties went out on the night in question” and did have an argument that night.

According to the documents filed Tuesday, Gordon also revealed he “tried to wake up Ms. Brown and attempted to get her to react” after finding her unconscious, adding he “performed CPR on her.”

Baez also denies claims Gordon physically abused Brown, as suggested in the amended lawsuit filed by Hargrove, who accused Gordon of beating Brown at a party and knocking out her teeth.

Baez tells USA Today, “The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless. Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it’s shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most.”
