Dolly Parton has become the first artist to feature in the top 20 of America’s Hot Country Songs Chart for each of the last six decades.

A remake of her classic tune “Jolene” by vocal group Pentatonix, featuring Parton, has helped her make history on the Billboard chart. The song is at number 18 on the new chart.

She has now had a top 20 song in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s.

Parton heard the news as she was preparing to hit the stage at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening.

The only artist who can catch her is Willie Nelson, but he has yet to land a top 20 this decade.

Parton’s first Hot Country Songs Chart top 20 was “Something Fishy” in 1967. Her solo version of “Jolene” was also a chart smash in 1974.
