Artist Photoshops Animal Cubs in Human Clothing and You’ll Want to Hug Each and Every One

“Zoo Potraits: Become the Animal” is a photo series by Barcelona-based artist Yago Partal. The creative project was “influenced by the animal kingdom, cartoons and fashion,” which fascinated Partal as a child, and he eventually “found his voice in a game we all like to play: the humanization of animals.”
Partal hopes his project serves as a basis for anybody interested in the animal kingdom to explore the history of each subject, a “compilation of data on fauna… A little encyclopedia that will keep growing as new images and proposals develop.” Partal’s work highlights all animals, but he hopes the project will work to bring awareness to the human impact on his featured subjects as well as the foundations, shelters and societies that help protect animals across the globe.
His work with baby animals has struck a chord across the internet as connecting to the babes is more striking as each young creature looks directly at the camera, forcing the viewer to look back into its eyes. Are the eyes the window to the soul? For animal lovers, seeing these young animals is believing.
