Joe Jackson, the Jackson family patriarch, has been in Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil since Sunday, July 26, 2015, after experiencing signs of a stroke while in the country to celebrate his 87th birthday.

Joe’s heart stopped three times, and he subsequently underwent surgery on Monday, July 27, 2015, to have a permanent pacemaker fitted.

He has been recuperating at the hospital since the operation, and now Entertainment Tonight reports that his superstar daughter has decided to put rehearsals for her much-anticipated The Unbreakable World Tour to a halt in order to be by her father’s side.

She showed her love and support on Twitter – the morning of Joe Jackson’s medical emergency.

Janet’s first trek in four years is slated to kick off on August 31, 2015, in Vancouver, Canada.
