The Jurassic Park sequel added $25.6 million to its monster opening weekend thanks to film fans still flocking to cinemas on June 15th.  The previous Monday record was set by The Dark Knight in 2008.

Jurassic World has now earned over $234.4 million in North America in its first four days on release and over $550 million at the global box office in less than a week.

The blockbuster scored the biggest global launch of all time over the weekend and the second biggest in America, just behind The Avengers.
