Lady Gaga Hitting ‘Dive Bars’ to Launch New Album
Lady Gaga will hit a series of dive bars across America to launch her new album Joanne. The “Born This Way” hitmaker is going back to her club roots to debut songs from the new album as part of a new partnership with beer brand Bud Light.
“My first performances were in dive bars in New York City and around the country, so working with Bud Light to go back to my roots to perform songs from my new album Joanne is such an exciting way to connect with my fans and share this music with them for the first time,” Gaga said in a statement. The mini-tour will kick off on Wednesday at a yet-to-be-announced venue. The pop superstar previously debuted her Joanne single “Perfect Illusion” with an unannounced performance at London’s tiny Moth venue. The news of the Bud Light tour comes just days after Gaga was confirmed as the half-time show headliner at next year’s Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas. Rumors suggesting the “Applause” hitmaker would be gracing the stage at the game have been circulating for weeks, and have turned out to be true.— xoxo, Gaga (@ladygaga) October 2, 2016
