Ronnie Radke sues over ‘unsubstantiated’ rape allegations
The singer hit headlines after Kacee Boswell claimed she had been attacked and gang raped by Radke and a group of his pals, including his bodyguard, while onboard his band’s tour bus on June 3rd. The 25 year old claimed she had to be treated for a bruised jaw and vaginal tearing, and she subsequently filed a police report over the alleged incident.
Boswell also spoke out to the New York Daily News, telling the publication she “never felt so attacked and hurt in my entire life” as she and Radke had previously enjoyed a casual sexual relationship. The rocker immediately issued a denial, dismissing the “ugly, unsubstantiated claims”, while Slaves guitarist Alex Lyman backed up Radke’s account by insisting he never witnessed any of the bad behavior Boswell described after spending the whole day with the musician.
Now Radke is determined to clear his name by suing Boswell for defamation. He filed suit in a civil court in his home state of Los Angeles on Monday June 8th, and in the papers, his lawyer states: “Radke has been exonerated as fully as can occur in less than week: the police swabbed the tour bus and found no evidence of a rape. The police have taken no action against Radke. The police did not arrest Radke. The prosecutor has not charged Radke. Radke was not required to post bail. No restrictions have been placed on Radke’s movements. And all of the above is true for Radke’s bodyguard, as well.”
He is seeking punitive damages from Boswell.
